Mimi's Mini Meal Diet
The singer's workout routineMariah Carey has joggled with her weight throughout the years and you have all witnessed it. When she first appeared on television, in those yearly years, the lady looked pretty great; but she owed that to her youth. As the years passed the singer added a few hits to her career and a couple of pounds to her weight.
Well, Mariah has that type of body that puts on weight very easily just by eating a cup-cake. But the singer couldn't always help herself from eating what she liked. That's why Mariah came up with the best diet for her: the morsel diet! "I kind of invented it (the morsel diet). Basically, you can have a tiny bit of everything you want. When I'm really, really, hungry I'll be like need a morsel!' So they'll give me whatever there is [on the plate], but it has to be less than a forkful."
That's the secret that has helped her look the way she does now, because let's face it, for her age, the lady looks quite fit. Whenever she wants a piece of that apple pie she just has a morsel. And the way I see it that's the best way to make the crave go away.
But for the rest of time, Mini keeps a pretty strict diet. In the morning she has an omelet with fruits with a piece of bread. At lunch, the singer eats chicken meat or steak (Mariah really loves steak), which provides her with the right amount of protein. For her last meal of the day she just has protein and vegetables, like spinach or fish. Between meals she has a tiny bit of everything, which does wonders for her state of mind!
But, Mariah does more than just eating morsels of food. She has a very strict workout routine, that is seriously monitored by her personal trainer, Patricia Gay. Mariah must be pretty satisfied with her trainer since she flies Patricia all the way from St. Barts to New York, for a one-on-one session. Patricia reveals some of Mimi's workout secrets. She says that they work out special muscles through Pilates.
Here's one type of exercise: the singer makes a bridge with her back and lifts her torso off the ground; sometimes she squeezes a ball with her legs, thus working out her inner thighs. Another important part of her routine is the water workout. Mariah likes to exercise in the ocean where she uses the water to strengthen her muscular tissue.
Water helps her build stronger muscles, not bigger ones! She just pushes the water with her arms or she claps her hands in the water. This workout routine makes Mimi feel great about herself and it does wonders for her mental state: "It feels good. For me, it's about embracing everybody at what weight they're supposed to be. I'm not supposed to be a stick-figure girl. It's not me." We're all glad that Mimi is finally content with her figure and we wish her a relaxing workout routine!
