Janet Jackson's Spartan Diet
Yo-yo dieter and singer is thin againShe has often been featured in the tabloid media because of her fluctuating weight so, naturally, Janet Jackson is by now familiar with the notion of losing many pounds over a short period of time.
However, the road to a slim body, in her case, is filled with huge obstacles but her determination is the key element in getting the figure she wants. The rest depends entirely on a good diet plan and a vigorous workout routine.
Janet has repeatedly admitted to being an "emotional eater" and this is precisely why she has had so many problems in the past. Today, she considers herself more or less cured of this "affection" she's had ever since she was a young girl, but she is also thinner and in better shape than ever.
It wasn't the result of plastic surgery, as the tabloids claimed a few weeks back, but of a grueling workout regime and a diet that few other people could actually follow.
"She eats tiny portions of bland food like grilled white fish and dry cereal and fruit," a close friend of the singer told "Closer" magazine.
Nevertheless, restraint is not everything with Janet, as she also goes on "regular 10-day cleansing fasts, which she swears by" and that are meant to detoxify her organism by eliminating all those things like fats and saturated fats that are so negative for our body when abused of.
This is the first step towards getting Janet's body. The second one is exercise.
Miss Jackson was once famous for her killer six-pack but even if they're gone for a while, she always finds it in herself to bring them back. In truth, Janet works for the body she flaunts in magazines more than many other artists, precisely because she can't curb her enthusiasm for food.
Janet does leg exercises twice a week, works her upper torso also twice a week, does ab training for three days and 5 to 6 times a week cardio exercises (kickboxing, baseball, running and tennis).
As you can see, it takes a lot of work to look as tight and toned as Janet but, then again, hard work and determination have always been her middle name.
